Hi all, and welcome to the week 2 round-up of our #30Daysof Positivity challenge.
In all honesty, this week has been a mixture and a half. I travelled for a holiday and honestly, that made things interesting and put a few spanners in the works but, regardless, I always tried to end the day by coming up with something good/positive about that day. Some days I had to really rack my brain to come up with something and others days the positive happenings came up almost with no prompting but all in all, I thank God that I was able to continue the challenge and everyday had something good to reflect on.
Most notable items for thanksgiving were: good weather, gratitude for money to go on holidays, and journey mercies on the flights we took. Journey mercies was a big one because one of our flights actually fell on the day which the Indian plane crash happened. We were heading to the same airport but unfortunately, whilst one plane went down, by the grace of God, we were able to land safely at Gatwick airport. It just reminds you that there is truly very little that we are in control of. And it reminded me that we ought to give thanks always cause we just never know what God is shielding us from and has shielded us from .
No matter how difficult life is and how stressful the days get, it seems we rarely fully appreciate the gift that is life until it’s taken away. But before I get there, I want to spend my time thanking God for my life and for everything He’s doing. It’s not easy but I thank God for the grace to have made it this far.
What are you thankful for?
Final thoughts – life is a gift! Use it well 😊
